Texas Civil War Museum

We didn’t think Texas was very involved in the Civil War so were skeptical of the quality of this museum, but it ended up being very interesting. It showed how unprepared the south was for the war, and showed artifacts from the war. There were flags, medical gear, swords, guns, and dresses. Anna demanded that dad (and only dad) explain the different exhibits to her. She got less fussy when we let her have the camera to take our photos.
