Pearl Fryar Topiary Garden

The Button King suggested we visit the Pearl Fryar Topiary Garden. Who am I to disobey the king?
This was another one of those “what in the world?” sort of places. Some guy, again about 30 years ago, decided to grow some topiary trees/bushes/etc. And he just kept on going. And going. And going. He was mowing the lawn when we visited, and stopped to talk to us for a few minutes. He has had a documentary made about him which was in theaters for a few months and on TV. Bus loads of people visit him. He has gained funding from some non-profits to make sure his bushes can keep on growing. It was all pretty impressive. Again, wouldn’t plan a vacation around it, but if you are already nearby, might as well take a look.
