New England Air Museum

New England Air Museum

We thought this was just another air museum like any other, but this one was spectacularly awesome. It had a restored B-29A Superfortress (amazing!), tons of jets, bunches of helicopters, and even some antique cars (Ford Roadster!) and motorcycles. They even have a space suit.

The museum did a great job explaining why each piece was important. For example, they had some of the B-29 turrets out on display, and explained that this was the first time the US had computer controlled turrets. They also had the computer on display and explained what it did. Very neat.

It wasn’t cheap, but it was worth it. Sadly it was too hot for us to stay quite as long as we wanted (Anna was overheating).
