Muir Woods National Monument

We made a trip to the Muir Woods National Monument. It required driving down a very curvy road with a sheer cliff on one side. At one point part of the road had fallen away so traffic was reduced to one lane. Scary!
At the woods, Becca got to enjoy her first view of a redwood forest. The trees were giant! There was one that fell down that the park rangers determined was over 1,000 years old. There was another that was still alive that was born in 1776. Anna had a blast running around and looking at all the trees.
